House 2 concerns what one owns and what one values: material resources, the relationship to money, but also personal talents and self-esteem — in the broad sense, everything one considers truly one's own.
A planet in House 2 often indicates where and how you seek material security, or what you consider to be real wealth.
Succedent house (with Houses 5, 8, and 11): the succedent houses follow an angle and are associated in classical doctrine with stability and consolidation — less force than an angular house, but more constancy.
