⚼ Sesquiquadrate

A moderate tension between two planets, a second softened square.

Two planets form a sesquiquadrate (or sesqui-square) when they are spaced about 135° apart, or a square and a half. It is a moderate tension, more insistent than the semi-square but less clear-cut than a full square — a friction that comes back in waves rather than continuously.
